Trade Show Booth Design Final

I just finished the booth design for a 10′ trade show backdrop. This project was a lot of fun to work on and it’s just fascinating to make something that is so big. The challenges of this project were to get all the info that they needed condensed enough to be read quickly and most importantly while people are walking by. We kept reducing the amount of content and I worked quite a bit on the typography. I had to keep the type at least 30″ off the ground in case that a chair or table was in front of the stand it wouldn’t block any of the messaging and therefore make it unreadable.

new to photography

I know it’s crazy right? Tom taking photos. I never thought I would be doing it but I’m finding that this is a very rewarding activity. Although it does get me outside more, it still requires much time spent in front of a computer. DOH!

I’ve created a brand new gallery page. It’s a work-in-progress though so expect it to change a bit in the future. I only have two small slide shows right now but this page will grow over the next few months.

My photos might seem a bit “amateur” and that’s because they are. However, I’m learning from a few really great photographers and I hope to improve with time. My main area of focus is on composition. This is where I lacked most in my college photo class. I’ve just started using Adobe Lightroom and so far it is proving to be a very sweet program, although, Photoshop is more comfortable to me for some things.

Each slide show will only contain a select few of my favorites. I’m really trying to show something interesting and won’t fill these galleries with riff-raff. That’s what my flickr account is for.
